Dexter Blackwell, CPA

Dexter Blackwell serves as a Senior Wealth Manager for Eton Advisors, where he provides financial planning, estate planning, and lifestyle support for multi-generational family office clients. Dexter is often the central point of contact for families, leading collaborative family meetings that help different generations align their personal values with their long-term financial goals. In addition to his work with families, he serves as a primary partner for large foundations and endowments, providing the outsourced administrative support and oversight they need to manage their missions effectively.

As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Dexter brings a high degree of technical expertise to both his professional and community leadership roles. He has a long-standing commitment to conservation and financial education, having served as the Treasurer of a local land trust for more than four years. He also co-teaches a graduate-level course in Private Wealth Management at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, mentoring future industry leaders. Additionally, Dexter has dedicated his time to providing financial literacy training for underserved youth in the Durham foster care system, helping them build the practical skills and confidence needed for a secure financial future.

Outside of work, Dexter stays active on the tennis court and enjoys traveling internationally to explore new cultures. At home, he is enjoys novels, catching up on a good television series, trying out new local restaurants, and playing with his yellow and black labs.
